About Frontier Construction
Frontier Group LLC
Started as a residential construction company with an emphasis on energy efficiency. With the use of Insulating Concrete Forms as our main construction Component we set out to build a model home. Since its completion in September 2006 we have successfully constructed various residential ICF homes and commercial buildings. Frontier Group prides itself on embracing new building technologies and are eager to try new products as long as the quality is what they are looking for. We offer a wide range of construction and maintenance services to fill your every need. We believe in low to no maintenance building products, but when it comes time to spruce up your home we are ready to take care of your particular needs.

The main construction component that separates Frontier Group from the rest is the Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) we use for your walls. Residential and Commercial Construction
Frontier Group LLC started as a residential construction company with an emphasis on energy efficiency. Since its completion in September 2006 we have successfully completed various Residential and Commercial projects.

Personal Bios:
Frontier Group LLc.is composed of three partners, Joel Diotte, Matt Diotte and Peter Stern.
Joel Diotte
Was born in Northport MI. He attended Glen Lake high school where he was among the top of his class. Upon graduation he went North to Houghton where he attended Michigan Tech University. After one year he applied an was accepted to The University of Michigan where he finished his Bachelors degree in Psychology. After graduation he decided to travel a while before entering the business world. His travels took him across the country and back where he realized there was no better place to live than Northern Michigan. Settling down he met his wife married and started a family. At the same time he started Diotte Construction where he built custom homes on Glen Lake.
Matt Diotte
Was the first baby born in Northport in 1974. This desire to be first has followed him his entire life. Matt also went to Glen Lake where he excelled in athletics and academics. Upon graduating from Glen Lake, Matt attended Central Michigan University Where he graduated with honors in Education. A slow decline in the need for teachers in the area prompted Matt to join his brother in the construction business. Matt has been a Volunteer Firefighter on Empire Fire Department for over 5 years.
Peter Stern
Grew up in the Detroit area and upon graduation from Berkley High went into the workforce doing various jobs in the construction industry. Pete worked as a construction superintendent for a general contractor in the area. When the commercial construction industry declined in the early 90’s he moved north to Glen Arbor. Pete is a full time Fire Fighter/EMT as of January 2008. In 1999 Pete started a cottage care, pressure washing and painting company were he completed the interior and exterior painting of the North Restaurant as well as completed various homes around Glen Lake. A few years later joined Joel and Matt in the business building houses and honing his skills as a painter.
In 2005, upon many ours of discussion and research into better building technologies and the need for a more energy efficient homes, we formed Frontier Group LLC. And began building a spec. home in Empire out of Insulating Concrete Forms, in-floor heat, stamped concrete floors and Fiber Cement Siding. We are also a certified Perma-crete Dealer/installer in the area ready to install Perma-crete cementious based products and 100% epoxy coatings on any surfaces old or new.
